The KERNEL Full-Body LED Light Therapy Bed is a photobiomodulation system for clinical, spa, and recovery settings. The bed uses 41,600 LEDs running on five wavelengths: 633, 660, 810, 850 and 940 nm. The operator sets the combination per protocol from the controller. Light at 633 and 660 nm is absorbed in the skin and upper dermis and is applied to collagen support and rejuvenation. The longer 810, 850 and 940 nm wavelengths reach muscle and connective tissue, which extends the same device to recovery and circulation work. Output holds at 129 mW/cm² for the full ten minutes — about 60 J/cm² delivered per session.

Key Benefits

  • Supports skin rejuvenation and reduces visible signs of aging

  • Aids muscle recovery and relief of post-exercise discomfort

  • Improves local circulation and supports cellular repair

  • Non-invasive treatment, drug-free, with no downtime

  • Suited to spas, dermatology and aesthetic clinics, and recovery centers

  • Two operating modes, Time and Dose, for controlled session dosimetry

  • Voice guidance during operation

  • Fingerprint access and user management for secure client records

How It Works

Photobiomodulation works at the mitochondrion. The primary chromophore is cytochrome c oxidase, complex IV of the respiratory chain, which absorbs red and near-infrared photons roughly between 630 and 940 nm. Electron transport then accelerates. ATP synthesis rises, and for a short window afterward the signaling that governs tissue repair and inflammation shifts as well. Patient sensation is a poor proxy for any of this. Warmth, when it occurs at all, stays mild and indicates nothing about delivered dose; the biological response scales with accumulated energy, not with what is felt. Penetration depth rises with wavelength, so a single pass reaches the epidermis and the muscle beneath it at once, with no second device and no protocol change

Frequently Asked Questions

1-844-551-1946 Monday – Friday 9 am – 5 pm EST
  • No. Tanning beds and UVB units emit ultraviolet, the part of the spectrum that produces sunburn and long-term photodamage. This device emits none of it. Its output stays entirely within the red and near-infrared range, well below where UV begins, so clients neither tan nor burn and UV goggles serve no purpose here

  • Irradiance measures 129 mW/cm².

  • Timelines vary by goal. Clients treating muscle soreness or training recovery tend to notice a difference within the first handful of sessions. Effects on skin tone, texture, and circulation build more gradually and usually become visible somewhere in the four-to-eight-week window once sessions stay consistent. Frequency matters more than duration here; a few long visits won’t replace a regular schedule, which is worth stating plainly at intake

  • In the United States this is a cash-pay service. No insurance billing code covers whole-body red-light therapy, and that isn’t likely to shift in the near term, so practices recover the equipment cost through per-session fees, treatment packages, and membership plans. We can run the actual payback math with you on a call, using your pricing and expected weekly volume.
